As a **Principal Datacenter Deputy Manager** , you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support to the customer.     As a Principal Datacenter Deputy Manager, you'll manage datacenter systems and oversee personnel teams providing application middleware support, including configuration, integration, and performance tuning for enterprise applications. You'll lead COOP/DR services, developing and executing recovery plans, failover testing, and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and ensure rapid restoration during disruptions.

You'll be expected to collaborate with the Datacenter Manager to coordinate cross-functional operations, resource allocation, and vendor management for datacenter-wide initiatives.     The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS.

     

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 10 years of experience in datacenter operations, with at least 5 years in a management or deputy management role overseeing middleware, COOP/DR, servers, networks, storage, databases, and web services

    + Proven track record managing technical teams and complex IT systems in government or high-stakes enterprise environments

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

    + Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service operations and continuity

    + Proficiency in datacenter technologies (e.g., VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp storage) and management tools (e.g., DCIM platforms)

    + Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills for team management and stakeholder engagement

    + Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

    + ITIL 4 Foundation certification

    + Cisco Certified Specialist - Data Center Operations certification

    + Experience supporting DoD or large federal datacenters, including COOP/DR implementations and hybrid cloud integrations

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification

    + Background in database administration (e.g., DBA certifications) and web services security (e.g., OWASP)

     

    Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CISSP for secure operations)

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
