**Shift** :Day 7:30-4 or 7a-7p or 3p-11:30; including call shifts; including weekends; min 4 shifts per month

The role you'll contribute:

Performs routine sonographic procedures to support the accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role ensures proper preparation, positioning, and acquires quality images for interpretation by a radiologist. Generates complete and accurate worksheets to assist radiologists in interpretation. A minimum of one ARDMS or equivalent registry is required, with additional certifications pursued based on departmental needs. Performs interventional procedures, as deemed necessary per department. Adheres to compliance standards and regulatory requirements set by local, state, and federal agencies.

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.

+ Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtains necessary clinical history prior to scanning.

+ Positions patients and equipment appropriately and manipulates transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, heart rates, and other diagnostic data.

+ Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

+ Explains procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, cooperation, and privacy throughout the exam.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

**Minimum qualifications** :

+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

+ Current ARDMS certification required, with preferences for certifications in abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular. Technologists are expected to pursue any incomplete registrations, with at least one completed per year.

+ Required to learn and use Radiology software packages and PACS applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to departmental policies and procedures

Preferred qualifications:

+ Associate [Preferred]

+ Technical/Vocational School in a program that makes candidate eligible to sit for ARDMS or ARRT boards [Preferred]

+ 1 work experience [Preferred]
