The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Leadership and Management for the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS), effective Spring or Fall 2026. (The rank of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.)
The Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) is actively seeking candidates who are distinguished academics and/or professionals with exemplary experience in industry/business environments applying analytics; who understand real‐world data, constraints, tools, and have the ability to teach courses in these areas.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS), the successful candidate will work closely with the Academic Director to implement the vision for expanding DAUS’s programs and initiatives, and to increase DAUS’s profile and visibility locally, nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate will teach within the undergraduate programs; develop courses; collaborate with other faculty and industry partners; and engage with the broader NYU SPS academic community, as appropriate. Additionally, ideal candidates will have experience with teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in business analytics, business, leadership, and management. The candidate is expected to continue scholarly, creative, and professional activity, including but not limited to research, publication, creative output, and industry collaboration. The candidate is expected to engage in service to NYU, SPS, and DAUS strategic pathways. Faculty candidates should also have experience working with a wide range of professionals and have experience or evidence of the potential for success in teaching a broad population of students, including first generation students and international students. This full-time position is a nine-month appointment with a two-year renewable faculty contract.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000-$160,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

The ideal candidate will (i) hold an advanced degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Technology, or a related field.; (ii) have a significant industry or academic track record; (iii) have at least three years of academic experience and effectiveness in higher education, (iv) have experience or evidence of the potential for success in teaching a broad population of students, including first generation students and international students. Candidates should provide evidence of initiative in curricular development, demonstrate an ability or potential ability to engage in meaningful service or administrative work, and supply evidence of promise in scholarly work.
