    Drone / Robotics Operator, Senior

     

    Start: **ASAP**

     

    Contract Length: **12 months to start, likely to extend**

     

    Pay: **$35.00 - $43.00 per hour (depending on experience)**

     

    A Senior Drone/Robotics Operator is responsible for the advanced operation and management of drones and robotics systems used to identify electric assets and deficiencies and determine severity of damage/degradation.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Planning and executing complex missions or projects using drones or robotics systems.

    • Leading a team of operators and technicians in the setup, calibration, and operation of equipment.

    • Conducting advanced pre-flight or pre-operation checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

    • Operating drones or robotics systems during missions and overseeing the collection and recording of data.

    • Monitoring equipment performance and making advanced adjustments as necessary.

    • Analyzing data collected from missions or projects and providing insights or recommendations.

    • Developing and implementing maintenance and repair procedures for equipment.

    • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations for drone or robotics operation.

    • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in drone and robotics technology and recommending adoption of new technologies.

    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate drones or robotics systems into larger projects or operations.

    Qualifications:

    • 3 years - Electric utility experience – Ability to identify electric assets and deficiencies and determine severity of damage/degradation.

    • 4 years - Drone Operator – Must hold FAA Part107 certification and understand airspace regulations

    • Program Management – Working with Subject Matter Experts, must be able to develop program processes and procedures while building a mechanism to track progress, savings, and ROI.

    • Ability to work outdoors in extreme hot and cold environments while navigating uneven terrain

    • Safety mindset for both human and assets protection

    • Strong communication skills and a willingness to push implementation of drone across programs

    • Drone experience: DJI Pilot, PIX4D, DJI Terra

    • someone who is outgoing and can build meaningful relationships with the SMEs to ease the process of implementation.

    • Clear and concise communication skills with a desire to innovate.

    **Pay Details:** $35.00 to $43.00 per hour
