    **Job Type:** Part Time | Contract (6+ Months)

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, First Shift (8 AM – 1 PM)

    **Pay Rate:** $22 to $25 per hour

     

    About the Role

     

    PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a **Computer Operator** to support our client —a world leader in aerospace innovation. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of computer systems that drive some of the most advanced aerospace programs in the world. Your work will directly support missions that shape the future of technology and national defense.

    What You’ll Do

    + **Monitor and Operate Systems:** Run electronic digital computers and peripheral equipment to process engineering, business, and scientific data according to established procedures.

    + **Perform Diagnostics:** Observe equipment for messages or errors, run diagnostic tests, and report malfunctions as needed.

    + **Document and Records Management:** Scan documents, manage aperture cards, process wide-format drawings, and handle data conversions with precision and accuracy.

    + **Mail Services:** Retrieve, sort, and deliver mail; manage postage and deliveries across departments.

    + **Engineering Support:** Maintain and distribute technical data, assist with printing, laminating, plotting, archiving, and scanning projects.

    + **Records Retention:** Manage records storage and retrieval systems, track requests, and ensure compliance with retention policies.

    + **Customer Service:** Provide accurate, timely information and document handling following established processes and supervision.

    Required Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional education and/or related experience.

    + Minimum **1 year of hands-on experience** in scanning and document management, records retention, mail services, or engineering support.

    + **Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.** **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior military experience with a clean record.

    + 1+ years of experience in engineering support, document management, and records retention in a technical environment.
