Caterpillar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in North Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will collaborate with the team and maintain and improve processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing Requirements
What you can look forward to in this role:
+ Responsible for assisting product groups with design and implementation of test systems for prime product units under test in final test and adjust booths and in process validation
+ Perform technical analysis of manufacturing assembly test scripting processes through a lens of continuous improvement
+ Design and direct the acquisition of all necessary tooling and machines
+ Troubleshoot day-to-day machines or test stand software or scripting issues, develop solutions and monitor improvements
+ Procure material related to manufacturing test improvements through external suppliers
+ Develop standard work for and deploy engineering change notices related to tests
+ Develop and maintain assembly test standard work scripting
+ Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements
A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:
+ Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
+ Problem Management Process - MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.
+ Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
+ A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university
+ Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
+ Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics
+ Experience with Engineering Teamcenter or similar engineering process management systems
+ Proficient with SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SAP
+ A thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts demonstrated through prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and Access
+ Experience with digital multimeters, data acquisition devices, industrial instrumentation, and other electrical tools
+ Experience with Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET), Caterpillar Product Software Programming System (Cat PSPS), or VMC TestDesigner and TestManager

The primary location for this position is NLR, AR.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
