    Overview

     

    The Demand Planning Manager for the Transportation business works with Stryten's supply chain network to anticipate and fulfill customer demand. You own: Demand forecasting for the transportation business which ultimately drives the production plan for two production plants. As a company leader, this position drives a culture of continuous improvement in all areas to ensure customer satisfaction, productivity, and employee development.

    Responsibilities

    + Management of Consensus Forecast Process

    + Owns development and maintenance of rolling 12 month demand Plan

    + Key contributor during Sales and Operations Planning review cycles developing the Demand Plan in conjunction with the Commercial team.

    + Maintains monthly S&OP planning documents

    + Leads forecast reviews with account managers monthly to keep the forecast aligned with customer demand

    + Leads operations calls with national accounts weekly/bi-weekly in conjunction with the Account manager to resolve demand & supply questions and issues with fill rates or other metrics

    + Responsible for delivery of Forecast accuracy and fill rate metrics

    + Continuous Process Improvement to provide more accurate forecasts and faster response to changes in customer demand

    + Extensive KetteQ / JDE and Business Process Knowledge to Support Teams

    + Extensive Sales Planning & Prioritization Process Knowledge to execute allocation

    + Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.

    Qualifications

    + 5-10 years experience in Supply Planning, Forecasting, Inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and/or operations

    + Ability to work in a complex matrix environment and receive cooperation and input from people not under their direct supervision

    + Understand the linkages between distribution requirements planning and other supply chain processes such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production scheduling, MRP, and transportation management

    + Utilize business knowledge and mathematical skills to creatively evaluate situations and adopt a "big picture" approach when implementing solutions

    + Familiar with transaction systems and decision-support tools, database creation and manipulation, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics

    + Advanced planning software experience, in systems like JDA, SAP, KetteQ or similar.

    + Strong Interpersonal skills; Verbal and written communications skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management or related discipline preferred

    + MBA/Masters in Information Technology or Logistics preferred

    + Preferred experience in Demand Planning Role

    + CPIM (APICS) certification a plus.

    + Working knowledge of supply chain planning, processes, and systems.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and planning system solutins.

    + Strong organization, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

    + Strong analytical skills. Ability to see the bigger picture while applying analytical solutions to complex issues.

    + Ability to advance within the organization.

    + Demonstrates high integrity in the performance of job responsibilities.

     

    Environment & Physical Demands

     

    + This position requires you to be on site the Alpharetta, GA headquarters location.

    + Work will be performed in an office environment.

    + Sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary.

     

    Travel

     

    + This position requires less than 20% travel.

     

    Work is to be performed at the company office location.
