Chevron’s Technical Execution Center (TEC) is a hub of technical excellence that supports our global operations with deep subject matter expertise across disciplines. TEC teams drive innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver engineered solutions that enhance performance and sustainability across Chevron’s assets.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Specialist to join our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team within the TEC. This role focuses on water stewardship and water management, providing strategic technical guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance across Chevron’s operations.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Lead the development and implementation of water management strategies for upstream and emerging assets including water sourcing strategies, produced water management, and beneficial use applications
+ Advise on emerging water technologies, trends, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making. Support research and development efforts, including technology screening, evaluation, and pilots.
+ Advise on water-related regulations and provide technical support to enable compliance across all operational sites. Provide technical expertise on water-related HSE matters, including water quality, usage, conservation, and discharge.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify water-related risks and develop mitigation plans. Contribute to environmental audits and assessments, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Support lifecycle water accounting and reporting, including data collection, analysis, and verification.
+ Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on water stewardship and compliance.
+ Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry groups, and community partners.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in water management, environmental compliance, or HSE roles.
+ Experience with water sourcing strategies, water data analysis, modeling tools such as CORMIX, and lifecycle water accounting methodologies.
+ Strong knowledge of water regulations, permitting processes, and environmental standards.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
+ Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CIH, CSP, or equivalent) are a plus.
