The Scientist I will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of experiments that support research & development of new membranes to meet customer application needs.This role will support the development of new membrane designs, enhance existing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies.
This position reports to the Director, R&D and is part of the Filtration R&D team located in Pensacola, FL and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Design and execute experiments to support development of new membranes, materials, metrology, and/or processes under the guidance of senior scientists.
+ Support pilot and full-scale test runs by preparing formulations, operating equipment, and collecting/analyzing data.
+ Collect, analyze and interpret data using standard statistical and data analysis software.
+ Clearly document and communicate results through reports or presentations to project team.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
+ 1 yr + experience in a research or laboratory setting (academic, internship, or industrial).
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical results to audiences with diverse backgrounds.
+ The desire and ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment with adaptability and openness to learning.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
+ < 25% travel is required for this role
+ May occasionally work on overnight or weekend if needed
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE)
+ Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
