Position Summary
As an ED Tech, you will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assisting medical providers and licensed nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role is vital in supporting the fast-paced environment of a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination needs
+ Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes
+ Perform phlebotomy and EKGs (if certified)
+ Maintain a safe and clean environment
+ Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
+ Stock supplies and ensure equipment readiness
+ Attend dysrhythmia training and pass required assessments
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ EMT-B, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
+ Acute care experience in an ED setting preferred
+ Current AHA BLS CPR Certification required
+ Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
+ Must pass background check and drug screening
