The Technology Sourcing Specialist is a critical role as a strategic sourcing team member. The role will focus on driving value optimization; intelligently and ambitiously reducing the technology cost base via the planning and execution of sourcing events and vendor negotiations; effectively contracting for critical products and services to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation; and leading process improvement and modernization of the technology sourcing function.

Type: W2 contract (not open to C2C) open ended; long term
What’s the job?
+ Lead technology sourcing events (RFx, benchmarking, sole supplier interactions, complex technology contract negotiations).
+ Gather clear requirements and help the business create clarity of needs; challenge and influence stakeholder demand to align with market best practices through industry and vendor insights.
+ Execute effective and aligned sourcing and negotiation strategies, often leading cross-functional teams of varying levels of seniority.
+ Lead vendor communication as SPOC for the client to ensure best leverage and clarity internally and externally.
+ Project manage end-to-end sourcing processes and contract negotiations against aggressive timelines, balancing speed, cost, and quality to meet business needs and savings goals.
+ Contribute deep knowledge of global, regional, and local markets toward assigned technology categories.
+ Understand business strategy, identify solutions, and challenge the status quo using external market insights.
+ Ensure delivery of both cost and non-cost sourcing benefits, including innovation, revenue growth, cash optimization, CSR, and risk management.
+ Observe developments and trends, translating them into actionable and inspiring solutions.
+ Execute sourcing and category strategy in alignment with regional and functional priorities, managing key stakeholder relationships.
+ Provide guidance and act as an advisor for vendor strategies and challenges.
+ Take a long-term view on contract structures to build appropriate sourcing strategies in consultation with internal stakeholders.
+ Design impactful sourcing events that engage incumbent and non-incumbent vendors to deliver innovative value propositions.
+ Ensure supplier due diligence, performance monitoring, and compliance are performed correctly.
+ Contribute to modernization, process improvement, stakeholder education, and internal marketing of the Technology Sourcing function.
+ Ensure exceptional delivery of service, monitor quality, seek feedback, and drive improvement
+ Communicate and promote the service and team to internal stakeholders at the Manager and Director level.
+ Support leadership (VP/Director) in establishing ways of working, policies, and procedures to drive alignment and synergy.
+ Proactively identify savings, efficiency, and innovation opportunities to contribute value to business and technology stakeholders.
+ Maintain strong relationships and smooth handoffs with finance, vendor management, information security, and legal teams.
+ Expertly navigate Technology Sourcing’s role as the central hub of the procurement and contracting process and manage complex interactions with global and regional stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements:
+ 5+ years with sourcing experience (technology preferred), project management, stakeholder influence, process analysis and improvement.
+ Infrastructure, Sass and cloud experience
+ Contracts negotiation experience
+ Red line contract experience
