Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will create product designs under the guidance of a design engineer. Your designs will meet industry manufacturing processes, adhere to government regulations, and fulfill customer requirements. You will generate CAD models, layouts, and detailed drawings, ensuring they include appropriate tolerance and GD&T specifications. You will be responsible for maintaining parts lists, standard build configurations, and the CAD database, supporting the product lifecycle from concept to production. Your role will involve solving design-related problems to enhance product improvements and collaborating with manufacturing and procurement partners to implement design changes. You will also prepare new concept designs and evaluate their feasibility.
Responsibilities
+ Create product designs that align with industry standards and customer requirements.
+ Generate CAD models, layouts, and detailed drawings with appropriate specifications.
+ Maintain parts lists, standard build configurations, and the CAD database.
+ Support the timely completion of tasks to meet development schedules.
+ Drive product improvements through robust problem-solving techniques.
+ Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement to implement design changes.
+ Ensure designs meet component or system specifications.
+ Prepare new concept designs and evaluate their feasibility.
+ Perform miscellaneous project-related assignments.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Collaborative mindset and strong soft skills.
+ Cultural fit within the team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in new product development.
+ Knowledge of the powersports industry.
Work Environment
The work environment is onsite at a facility located in Big Lake. The facility is modern, being only 3 years old, and offers ample opportunities for growth within the powersports industry. The role reports to a direct superior.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Big Lake, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
