    Job Title: Electrical Test EngineerJob Description

     

    As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in selecting, setting up test equipment, and conducting tests essential for production testing. You will use product-specific equipment to perform compliance testing and burn-in conditioning of high voltage power supplies.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot product and equipment issues under the guidance of senior level test technicians and engineers.

    + Test and evaluate customer returned merchandise, working with engineering to recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

    + Generate failure analysis reports and conduct preliminary routine evaluations, advising Engineering on test findings and quality concerns.

    + Suggest changes in test procedures to enhance operations and prepare test data to aid engineering in product evaluation.

    Essential Skills

    + Robust skill set in electronics or troubleshooting.

    + Ability to read schematics and understand the general theory of operation of systems.

    + Capability to do complex troubleshooting and testing, including final testing of assembled power supplies.

    + Experience in troubleshooting to component level, especially in high voltage power supplies.

    + Proficiency with oscilloscopes and other test engineering equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to set up test equipment and conduct electrical tests as per work instructions.

    + Comfort with voltage levels ranging from 14KV to 160 KV.

    + Working knowledge of high voltage power supplies.

    + Physical ability to stand and work for at least 8 hours a day.

    + Capability to lift a 20-pound high voltage power supply and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes a brand new facility, redone a year ago, where adherence to various gowning requirements is essential. This includes wearing a lab jacket, EH safety shoes, safety glasses, and following all safety protocols. You must be able to navigate the test stations and other areas, including the final inspection, assembly, and stock room, to transport parts and assemblies.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tewksbury, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
