    Job Title: Lead HVAC Technician

    Job Description

    As a Lead HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for identifying deficiencies and functional issues with site HVAC systems and implementing corrective actions. You will ensure compliance with safety procedures and coordinate maintenance and installation of HVAC systems, including support utilities. This role requires a working knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC controls, as well as compliance with regulatory practices.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify deficiencies and issues with site HVAC systems performance.

    + Complete corrective actions to address deficiencies.

    + Follow safety procedures and recommended practices.

    + Coordinate maintenance and installation of HVAC systems with support utilities.

    + Read and understand detailed plans and submittals for HVAC and support systems equipment.

    + Ensure utility activities comply with standard operating procedures and regulatory practices.

    + Perform daily system trend checks and address out of range findings.

    + Supervise daily activities of shift personnel, ensuring completion of daily shift requirements.

    + Plan and schedule contractor-related tasks.

    + Instruct other technicians in the operation and functionality of site HVAC systems.

    + Support planning and execution of HVAC maintenance/projects during site shutdowns.

    Essential Skills

    + Associates degree or technical certifications.

    + Strong HVAC experience with an industrial experience, preferably with GMP experience.

    + Minimum of eight years total HVAC experience, with at least two years in a GMP environment.

    + EPA 608 Universal License.

    + Experience with chillers, air handlers, boilers.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Knowledge of general trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, machine shop, etc.

    + Ability to understand and execute maintenance tasks for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.

    Work Environment

    This role operates within a manufacturing environment, ideally suited for individuals with prior industrial and GMP experience. The site is undergoing significant changes, focusing on specialty high-value drugs and advanced drug products. The position offers a great opportunity for contract-to-hire and includes built-in overtime, with competitive compensation and benefits on conversion.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Mount, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
