    Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description

     

    Ensure compliance with company safety programs and lead safety performance across project teams and subcontractors. Oversee daily construction operations and manage the successful execution of one or multiple projects. Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and risk management activities. Build and maintain client relationships, including handling proposals, contracts, and change orders. Implement and manage key sections of the Project Execution Plan, including staffing, procurement, and quality assurance. Direct RFP and bidding processes, subcontractor selection, and contract administration including RFIs, submittals, and change management. Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and earned value metrics. Coordinate with engineering and commissioning teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and startup activities. Mentor and train project staff, craft supervision, and interns while managing labor, staffing, and equipment resources. Oversee project closeout processes including documentation, warranty administration, and stakeholder communication.

    Responsibilities

    + 5+ years relevant project management experience in the construction/utilities industry

    + Experience supporting or working for an IOU, preferably Exelon

    + Multiple years of experience on construction project sites or executing program management in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water

    Work Environment

    The candidate has the option to work the majority of the time out of the suburban Downers Grove Office or Downtown Chicago Office. The office environment is dynamic and collaborative, with a culture that emphasizes teamwork and professional growth. The workplace consists of 3 floors with plans to add a 4th, located conveniently about 1 block away from Willis Tower. Employees are expected to be in the office 5 days a week, with occasional travel accounting for 5% of the time.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $66.00/hr.
