Controls Testing Engineering II

We're looking for a skilled **Controls Testing Engineering II** to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting verification and validation control testing in the Erie lab. The systems will include traction drive systems, auxiliaries, and interfaces to other onboard and offboard vehicle systems.

Pay:** **$34/HR (34.04/HR)

**Shift:** M-F: 8 AM - 5 PM

**Location:** Onsite - Erie, PA

**Contract Temp:** 12 mos.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Creation of necessary test documentation and tests requests.

+ Operating oscilloscopes, DAQ’s and handheld measurement devices.

+ Analyze and document test results.

+ Supporting factory build of prototype & production systems for solution implementation.

+ Monitoring and communicating project status, business issues and significant developments.

+ Running tests along with hourly staff in a dynamic and fast paced lab environment.

+ Coordinate tracking, receiving, storage and inventory of Engineering parts for lab support.

+ Shipping of parts and materials for use at field locations and Erie labsRequirements.

Physical Requirements:

+ Able to climb multistory access stairs.

+ The ability to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to access equipment or perform tasks at various heights.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related discipline.

+ Experience in control implementation & validation.

Desired:

+ 3+ years engineering experience.

+ Experience with vehicle control and vehicle design.

+ Experience with control modeling and analysis of electro-mechanical systems.

+ Experience with design, implementation, and validation of closed loop controls and/or diagnostics.

+ Experience in mining.

+ Successful experience working in multi-location engineering teams involved in design and validation activities.

+ Successful experience working with global teams.

+ Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

*REQUIRED: 3-6 years of related engineering work experience.

**Pay Details:** $34.00 per hour
