• Desktop Support Analyst

    Robert Half Technology (Alsip, IL)


    Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Alsip, Illinois. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support for end-users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems and software. As this is a long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing IT systems within a manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

    • Manage and maintain Active Directory, ensuring proper user access and permissions.

    • Install, configure, and update operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.

    • Perform desktop imaging and deployment to ensure efficient workstation setup for users.

    • Utilize the ServiceNow application to track and resolve service requests and incidents.

    • Diagnose and repair desktop hardware, ensuring minimal downtime for users.

    • Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement system upgrades and improvements.

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for IT systems and security.

    • Offer guidance and training to end-users to improve their understanding of desktop tools and software.

    • Document technical processes and solutions to build a comprehensive knowledge base. Requirements • Proficiency in PC desktop workstation setup and support.

    • Strong knowledge of Active Directory management.

    • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

    • Familiarity with desktop imaging and deployment processes.

    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair desktop hardware efficiently.

    • Working knowledge of the ServiceNow application for ticket management.

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
