Description
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with multi-state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, reconciliations, and garnishment processing.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute full-cycle payroll processes for multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process semi-monthly payrolls and maintain employee records.
• Handle garnishments and deductions in compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to FMLA regulations and other labor laws.
• Perform payroll reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll integration.
• Generate detailed payroll reports and assist with audits as required.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on payroll procedures.
The position is primarily remote but the client will require someone to live in the local Knoxville and surrounding areas. A degree in accounting is required with 3+ years of experience. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll, including multi-state payroll processing.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll garnishments and FMLA regulations.
• Experience with semi-monthly payroll schedules.
• Demonstrated ability to perform thorough payroll reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
