Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Staff member to join our client's team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role requires expertise in individual and corporate tax returns, along with a strong background in tax preparation processes. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of experience and a proven ability to work effectively in a public accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.

• Conduct detailed tax research to ensure adherence to current regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and provide tax-related advice.

• Utilize advanced tax software, including CCH ProSystem Fx, to streamline preparation and reporting.

• Monitor changes in tax laws and incorporate updates into client filings.

• Assist in identifying opportunities for tax savings and strategic planning.

• Deliver timely and thorough responses to client inquiries and concerns.

• Maintain organized records and documentation to support tax filings.

• Support entry-level staff by providing guidance and sharing expertise.

• Contribute to team meetings and the development of best practices in tax preparation.

Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate returns.

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software.

• Strong knowledge of tax laws and compliance standards.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills for managing complex tax data.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.

• Experience working in public accounting is highly desirable.
