MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

_As an_ **_On-Prem Systems Administrator_** _, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas:_

+ Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure including managing servers, ensuring system availability and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security.

+ Supports the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments.

+ Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.

+ Manages the Active Directory, and other core IT services.

+ Monitors systems performance and troubleshoots issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

+ Performs maintenance such as patch management, updates and backups.

+ Plans and executes systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.

+ Ensures systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.

+ Implements and maintains security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.

+ Conducts security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

+ Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.

+ Participates in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning.

+ Provides support to end users and other IT staff by resolving hardware, software and system related issues.

+ Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.

+ Creates reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics.

+ Coordinates with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services.

+ May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

_Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The_ **_On-Prem Systems Administrator_** _must have:_

**● Education:** Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree

**● Experience:** 1+ years of related experience

• Required Skills:

+ Experience with Linux/Red Hat OS or Windows Server OS 2019 and above, network configurations, and server hardware

+ Familiarity with Active Directory

+ Understanding of virtualization platforms like VMware, Nutanix, and/or Hyper-V

+ Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash

• Preferred Skills:

+ Prior Real-time operations/systems experience

+ Sec+, A+, Net+, Cloud +, ITIL, Foundational Certification from a Cloud Provider (i.e. AWS CCP Certification, AZ 900, Cloud Digital Leader)

+ Red Hat Certification

+ Automation Concepts (Ansible/Puppet)

+ Experience with Splunk, Science Logic, Service Now, F5 Load Balancers

+ Familiarity with Cisco switches and firewalls

+ Experience with SQL database queries and troubleshooting

+ Backups (VEEAM, NetBackup, Unitrends)

+ Scripting and coding experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, GIT)

+ Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure Cloud providers

+ Familiarity with security baselines (i.e. CIS Benchmarks or DISA STIGs

+ Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization

**● Security Clearance Level:** None required, but ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

**● Location:** State of Louisiana.

The likely salary range for this position is $71,445 - $96,661. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
