    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3)** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our **Test & Evaluation** team based out of **Melbourne, FL** .

     

    As a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of Cyber Systems Engineering, Operating System administration, Virtual Environments, and security monitoring tools.

    Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    + Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

    + Analyzing total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainment.

    + Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.

    + Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

    + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, **prior** to the commencement of employment.

    + Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status

    + Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).

    + Demonstrated experience in the managing operating systems, e.g., (Windows Sever, desktop environments, Linux, etc.).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated proficiency in the administration of Atlassian, Coverity, and Gitlab web applications, with a focus on the identification and resolution of performance issues.

    + Expert knowledge of access controls and comprehensive experience in utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to effectively detect and respond to security incidents.

    + Experience in the application of Secure Technical Implementation Guides and asset configuration management.

    + Knowledge of access controls and experience in utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to effectively detect and respond to security incidents.

    + Experience working with DevOps Processes and Cloud Infrastructure

    + Systems administration experience, to include VMWare, vSphere, VDI, and ESXi

    + Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability

    + Possess either the VCP - Virtual Cloud Practitioner certification (DCV preferred) or the VCAP certification in VMware.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $104,800.00 - $157,200.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
