**Job Title:** OT (Enterprise) Network Support
**Location:** Hybrid (2-3 days in office)- Louisville, Kentucky
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to lead OT Enterprise Network Support for our Kentucky Operating Company. This role demands deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies, routing and switching, and regulatory compliance frameworks including NERC CIP and GAS TSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and support of critical infrastructure systems, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and regulatory alignment.
In this role, you will
Network Design & Implementation
+ Design and maintain IT and OT networks including LAN/WAN infrastructure.
+ Implement network solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
+ Install, configure, and support EMS (Energy Management Systems) network equipment including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
Network Traffic Management & Monitoring
+ Monitor and manage network traffic using tools such as SolarWinds.
+ Use Wireshark and other diagnostic tools for network troubleshooting.
+ Perform routine network health checks, updates, and performance tuning.
Firewall & Security Management
+ Develop and implement firewall rules to meet operational and compliance needs.
+ Continuously review and optimize firewall configurations to strengthen security posture.
+ Implement VPNs, access control systems, and network security policies.
+ Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply patches to maintain NERC CIP and TSA compliance.
Authentication & Access Control
+ Support and maintain RSA two-factor authentication systems.
+ Configure and manage TACACS and Cisco ISE for secure network access control.
Documentation & Reporting
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
+ Ensure all changes and incidents are logged and reported accurately.
Collaboration & Support
+ Work closely with IT teams and business units to ensure seamless system integration and cross-functional support.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple platforms.
+ Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for network support.
+ Provide implementation, maintenance, and user support as needed.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
Experience:
+ 10+ years in enterprise network support with a strong hands-on experience in Cisco switching, routing, and firewall technologies.
+ Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
+ In-depth understanding of NERC CIP and GAS TSA compliance requirements.
Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in RSA two-factor authentication, TACACS, and Cisco ISE.
+ Experience with SolarWinds and Wireshark for network monitoring and diagnostics.
+ Strong documentation and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-stakes environments.
Certifications:
+ Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – Required
+ AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty – Preferred
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
+ Experience in OT environments supporting SCADA, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
+ Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3).
+ Exposure to converged IT/OT networks and edge computing.
