Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team in providing in-person support to elementary-level students with special needs. This role is essential in helping students develop daily living skills and implementing behavior support strategies under the supervision of certified professionals.
Responsibilities
+ Assist students with daily living tasks such as feeding, dressing, and hygiene
+ Support toileting needs, including diapering when necessary
+ Implement behavior support plans and strategies as directed
+ Monitor and document student progress and behavioral data
+ Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
Minimum Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent (required)
+ At least 18 years of age
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience (preferred)
Qualifications
+ Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred)
+ Ability to follow behavior plans and work under supervision
+ Comfortable with personal care tasks including diapering and feeding
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
