Fulltime Social Worker

- $35/hr (includes weekly pay & benefits if needed)

- Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week (Days, Evenings, Nights)

- Looking for experience with youth population involved in either Juvenile Justice System, Institution, Camp, School, Community Center, Rehabilitation Program, Mental Health, or Residential Center

The Youth Care Worker (YCW) is responsible for the oversightand safety of children or adolescents in a variety of secure setting caresettings. The Youth Care Worker willinteract with the youth in a positive manner while assisting them with dailyactivities and implementing treatment plans.

The Youth Care Worker will display a professional and caringattitude and will encourage positive behaviors through effective communication,decision-making, and problem-solving. The Youth Care Worker will respond to emergencies and assist in theredirection of youth when needed.

Duties:

+ Will be focused on establishing relationships with youth and other staff from difference racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, physical ability, sexual orientation, and/or socio-economic backgrounds.

+ Actively participating as a member of a youth's support team, which will be focusing on treatment to address emotional and behavioral needs/goals of youth patients.

+ Establish and maintain positive, professional and appropriate relationships with youths families and loved ones.

+ Assist youth in achieving education, work readiness, and community goals.

+ Supervise and assist with recreation and education activities as well as taking on needed assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Associate’s Degree in social sciences, counseling,behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or childdevelopment preferred

+ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the care, custody, orpersonal guidance of youth

+ Bilingual or multilingual may be preferred in somesettings

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
