IT Project Manager 1451405 * Hourly pay: $55/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Redwood City, CA 94063 - Hybrid, Must be onsite 2 days per week) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment, Possible extension, or conversion A leading university is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the University IT Project Management Office. The successful candidate will primarily collaborate with the Network teams to lead and support key network-focused projects such as wired and wireless network refresh efforts, securing campus networks, central proxy service evaluation, and the assessment and potential replacement of the internal system. IT Project Manager Responsibilities: * Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. * Independently lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed. * Create a project charter defining/shaping the project's scope, goals/objectives, solution approach, system integration, and impact to other systems, project team organization, roles/responsibilities, risks and assumptions, and project financials. * Direct development of an action plan and estimate requirements for resources, including management, labor, materials, and time required to complete projects. * Adapt to tools, methodologies, and practices used by the University IT Project Management Office. IT Project Manager Qualifications: * 8-10 years of related experience in the management of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderate performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or a combination of education and relevant experience. * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly desired. * Experience with managing network and IT technical infrastructure components/projects for new and/or updated buildings. * Understanding of basic telecom/VoIP mechanics (e.g. VoIP, PBX, Call Manager, Contact Center, paging, TDM), Audio/Visual, Card Key and basic knowledge of service delivery and operation strongly desired. * Experience with developing and managing IT and construction budgets. * Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies strongly desired. * Knowledge of project management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC). * Proven experience in people, change, risk, and conflict management is strongly desired. Shift: * 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. #PP
