    Position: Special Education Teacher

     

    Openings: 15 (Yes, FIFTEEN! We’re growing and opening new classrooms!)

    As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work under the guidance of our Special Education Program Administrator to deliver high-quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12. You’ll collaborate with general education staff, provide specialized instruction, and help students shine in their own unique ways.

    What You Bring to the Table:

    + Bachelor’s Degree (from an accredited university – preferred)

    + Valid Illinois PEL License with Special Education Endorsement

    + At least one year of teaching experience (preferred, but we love enthusiastic newcomers too!)

    + Certification Types (preferred):

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) – preferred

    + CPR Certification (if applicable)

    + TB Questionnaire, PPD or Chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current Health Certificate (per contract/state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years old
