    Position Summary

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers to support K–12 students in Rockford, IL. These are self-contained classroom roles with flexibility in location, hours, and age group. Teachers will collaborate with school teams to deliver specialized instruction and support student success.

    + Role: Special Education Teacher

    + Location: Rockford, IL

    + Grade Level: Kindergarten through 12th grade

    + Openings: 15

    + Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday

    + Start Date: November 20, 2025

    + Duration: 1 year

    + Pay: $55 per hour

    + Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 paid during spring break, plus $500 at end of school year

    + Travelers: Recommended

    Responsibilities

    + Provide special instruction and tutorial assistance to students

    + Collaborate with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams

    + Develop and implement individualized student programs and IEPs

    + Monitor student progress and maintain documentation

    + Participate in meetings, consultations, and professional development

    + Comply with district, state, and federal regulations

    Qualifications

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

    + Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + CPR certification, TB/PPD clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
