In the Scientist Intern position, you will have the opportunity to gain first hands-on experience in research and development environment in biotech industry. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory-based activities for instrument, sensor and assay development to support Octet BLI and/or SPR platforms. The internship is stating in 01/2026 and ending 5/2026.
What you will accomplish together with us:
+ This intern will assist scientists with the development of instruments, consumables and assays to analyze biomolecular interactions by label free technologies
+ This is a great opportunity to obtain or utilize hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, including but not limited to
+ Operating standard laboratory equipment, such as balances, pipettes, centrifuges, etc.
+ Designing experiments for process development and/or assay optimization
+ Utilizing different surface characterization equipment for measurement
+ Acquiring and analyzing data using Octet BLI and/or SPR instruments
+ Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
+ Keep good laboratory records and perform experiments following safety rules
+ Identify problems in the lab and propose solutions during process development
What will convince us:
+ Actively enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Science program in biochemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline.
+ Ability to follow an experimental protocol and read scientific literature
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work 40 hours a week on-site at our Freemont location from January 2026 through May 2026
+ Willingness to learn and openness to new things

Intern compensation is $28 hr.
