UPMC Corporate Quality is hiring a Manager of Operations, WISER to join the team onsite at 2300 Mckee Place! This role will work Monday through Friday, during standard business hours. The Manager will assist with the management of the Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research (WISER) including the promotion of excellent end user satisfaction, the coordination of all administrative tasks, staffing, scheduling, project planning, and assisting the staff, faculty and stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate all aspects of administrative services delivered to end users of WISER. Also, manage the WISER's day-to-day finances and administrative infrastructure. Maintains contact with University of Pittsburgh finance personnel related to WISER / Pitt finances.
+ Assure that WISER personnel are in compliance with CME requirements, annual mandatory training and periodic safety and compliance training as defined by UPMC.
+ Supervise the processing of visiting fellow appointments. Ensure that visiting fellows obtain appropriate hospital and medical school appointments.
+ Supervise the program's fiscal plan by preparing and monitoring the program's general, capital, operations and research fund budgets.
+ Supervise the pre- and post-award components of NIH and other extramural grants as related to finances.
+ Assist staff and grants managers with grant submissions by providing facilities budgets, and other administrative documents such as IRBs and letters of support.
+ Coordinate submission of the initial grant proposals, and if an award is made, subsequent progress reports.
+ Supervise the WISER accredited fellowship training program in compliance with regulations and accreditation.
+ Coordinate facility and end-user billing with the UPP billing coordinator(s).
+ Help streamline billing and administrative processes.
+ Oversee the direct costs such as the purchase, secure storage, and maintenance of all equipment and supplies for the institute.
+ Supervise and participate in scheduling administrative staff.
+ Responsible for ensuring coverage, onboarding, managing recruitment, training, performance management and staff development. Act as a liaison for hospital associated satellite programs. Oversees the processing of payroll and manages/facilitates human resource, compliance, training, etc. activities.
+ Order and maintain inventory control for training areas associated with WISER. Monitor purchase requisitions and disbursement requests ensuring that expenses are within budget guidelines.
+ Assist with development of policy and procedures. Oversees process of SSH accreditation for WISER.
+ Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory guidelines including OSHA, CDC etc.
+ Assist in the implementation of staff and faculty development, including satellite endeavors.
+ Interface diplomatically with internal and external individuals to expedite services and facilitate requests. Cultivate collaborative relationships throughout the system and with University of Pittsburgh counterparts.
+ B.A.degree in business, health care administration or related field and three years of office or hospital management experience required.
+ OR High school diploma or equivalent and seven years office or hospital management experience required.
+ OR master's degree and six months experience in office or hospital management experience.
+ Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of initiative. Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to function well autonomously.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
