    Description

    SAIC is seeking a **Communication Equipment Installer** for our customer site in **North Charleston, SC** to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.

     

    This role requires 10% travel (1-2 times per year).

    Job Description:

    + Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment

    + Research, design, develop, and test installation of new equipment

    + Integrate and fabricate cables

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experience

    Required experience:

    + Must have cabling experience

    + Must have experience or be familiar with the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems

    Required Clearance:

    + Must be eligible and must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date. SAIC will sponsor your clearance. Candidates with active clearances are acceptable

    + US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract
