Job Summary
Michigan Medicine's Enterprise Datacenters are seeking a highly organized and reliable Data Center Receptionist / Shipping & Receiving Clerk. In this hands-on role, you'll be at the heart of daily operations, greeting visitors, managing shipments, and keeping our office running smoothly.
Responsibilities*
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:
+ Receive and verify shipments
+ Manage returns
+ Organize inventory
+ Maintain clean and orderly storage areas within the data center
+ Assist with unpacking and moving IT equipmen
+ Monitor supply levels
+ Prepare restock requests as needed
+ As the first point of contact for visitors, you'll greet and direct guests
+ Ensure proper sign-in procedures
+ Respond to inquiries both in person and by phone
+ Additional tasks include sorting mail
+ Maintaining vehicle usage logs
+ Overseeing proper disposal of trash and recycling
Required Qualifications*
Intermediate Level
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 2-4 years of experience
Associate Level
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 1-2 years of experience
The selected candidate in this position will be required to stand for moderate periods of time, bend, kneel and lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)

+ Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
+ Reliable customer service skills: professional and courteous demeanor
+ Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderately heavy items throughout the workday
+ Previous experience in administrative support, shipping/receiving, warehousing, or office environments preferred
+ Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Work Locations
This full-time role is based on-site during normal business hours.

Background Screening
