Summary:

We are pushing technological boundaries with these services, and are committed to building the future with Trust in mind.We are seeking an experienced Manager and industry expert in regulatory compliance programs, with a track record of standing up new programs, scaling initiatives, and designing frameworks that optimize compliance operations. This person will have knowledge of regulatory trends, risk and controls, and experience leveraging AI to build and scale compliance programs. You will provide leadership and direction to the RL Trust Product Compliance team, overseeing the design, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing improvements of the program, and managing high-performing teams.

Reality Labs, Regulatory Readiness and Product Compliance Manager Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team of Program Managers responsible for designing and building scalable regulatory and product compliance programs within RL
2. Lead and manage regulatory readiness projects to ensure Reality Labs products comply with global regulatory requirements
3. Build, scale, and optimize compliance programs and frameworks from the ground up, driving efficiency and impact
4. Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and processes aligned with regulatory expectations
5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Privacy, Product, and Engineering to embed compliance into product development lifecycles
6. Leverage technical expertise to build tooling, automation, and AI-driven workflows that enhance compliance operations
7. Monitor and analyze emerging regulatory trends and advise leadership on potential impacts and mitigation strategies
8. Manage relationships with external regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to facilitate audits, assessments, and reviews
9. Build, manage, and mentor high-performing teams, fostering compliance expertise and continuous improvement
10. Drive risk assessments and compliance reporting to leadership
11. Experience influencing a variety of audiences including leadership across both technical and non-technical teams

12. 10+ years of product/program management experience
13. 10+ years experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery across organizations
14. 7+ years experience managing a team
15. Background in regulatory compliance, risk and controls, and governance functions
16. Experience designing, building, and scaling compliance programs, including those leveraging AI and automation
17. Proven experience working with regulatory bodies and third-party assessors
18. People management and team-building experience

20. Master’s degree in a related discipline or computer science, business administration
21. Proven track record of delivering ambitious product, organizational, or process changes
22. Design thinking and process improvement experience, leveraging creativity and structure to solve complex problems
23. Experience working in a technical environment
24. Familiarity with regulatory landscape, privacy and data protection legislations
25. Experience building AI compliance programs and integrating automation into workflows
26. Product Experience: Demonstrated experience working closely with product teams, contributing to product strategy, and integrating compliance requirements into product development lifecycles
27. Experience driving technology-enabled solutions, stay ahead of industry trends, and champion approaches to compliance and risk management
28. Risk, Regulatory, Compliance, and Program Management Background: Extensive experience in risk assessment, regulatory analysis, compliance program design, and program management within complex, fast-paced environments
Public Compensation:
$188,000/year to $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
