    Summary:

    PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a world-renowned aerospace innovator, is seeking a **Software Engineer – Artificial Intelligence** to join a pioneering initiative advancing AI applications in avionics and software engineering. In this **full-time, 12-month onsite position** based in **Cambridge, MA** , you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing AI solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency across next-generation aerospace systems.

    What You’ll Do:

    As a Software Engineer focused on Artificial Intelligence, you’ll leverage AI-driven tools and frameworks to push the boundaries of aerospace software innovation. Working with a dynamic team of engineers and domain experts, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects that shape how AI integrates with critical flight systems.

    Key responsibilities include:

    + **Designing, developing, and deploying AI algorithms and models** that meet aerospace standards and performance goals.

    + **Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets** to ensure accuracy, quality, and actionable insights.

    + **Testing, validating, and optimizing AI models** to ensure efficiency, scalability, and safety.

    + **Using AI tools** to enhance software code generation, system reliability, and testing automation.

    + **Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams** to translate business requirements into robust AI-driven solutions.

    + **Documenting and monitoring AI models in production** , improving performance and maintaining compliance with safety and data privacy standards.

    + **Researching emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies** to drive continuous innovation in aerospace systems.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics** , or a related field.

    + **3+ years of experience** in software engineering or equivalent education/experience combination.

    + Proficiency in **Python, C, or C++** (experience with ADA or avionics software a plus).

    + Demonstrated experience with **AI or machine learning algorithms and tools** .

    + Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a **fast-paced, high-tech environment** .

    + Must be able to **work fully onsite in Cambridge, MA** .

    + **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Hands-on experience with **AI frameworks** such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

    + Familiarity with **DevSecOps pipelines** and **automated software testing tools** .

    + Experience integrating AI into **software development and verification processes** .

    + **Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.**
