A healthcare business analyst job involves creating and implementing both reports and analysis that help maximize the effectiveness of health management initiatives and strategies. This position requires in-depth healthcare/clinical business knowledge. A healthcare business analyst manages healthcare/clinical outcome projects and acts as liaison between the business, clinicians, technology and the company to meet healthcare and clinical expectations and requirements. The healthcare business analyst guides and advises less experienced healthcare/clinical business analysts. The position is competent to work at the highest level of most phases of systems analysis.

What You'll Do
+ Analysis: Healthcare and Clinical data underwriting, preparing reports, performing clinical data analysis and data validation, producing clinical data requirement, gathering and writing clinically focused functional specifications acting as liaison between the clinician, customer and the technical team, provides clinical business unit data support.
+ Evaluation: Evaluates the reliability of source information, adjusts and weighs raw data, and organizes results into a form compatible with analysis by business intelligence tools. The is able to describe sources of information and limitations on reliability and usability.
+ Communication: Functions as an internal consultant providing analytical problem solving and methodological consultation. Present sophisticated numerical information as graphs, charts, tables, written reports, or other methods for publication and consumption by clinicians, customers and clinical business units.
What We're Looking For
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a healthcare/clinical field, required.
+ Experience: Minimum five years of clinical experience in a Payor, Acute, or Ambulatory care environment e.g.: Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health; required.
+ Additional Skills Required: Detailed knowledge of clinical information and processes. Ability to translate clinical data and information to a technical team. Detailed knowledge of healthcare regulatory mandates and reporting requirements. Detailed knowledge of operations in the health care industry and a strong understanding of business processes. Ability to work with teams and direct an organized work effort. Competent to work on complex analysis assignments. Ability to work under deadlines and heavy workloads. Skill and ability across multiple business intelligence tool sets (e.g. SAS, IBM, and Microsoft). Ability to work with all levels of healthcare personnel from senior leadership to entry level personnel across the enterprise. Ability to take part in development of strategies and interventions to affect cost and quality. Ability to identify trends and produce forecasts. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with proven ability to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnerships. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
