Job Description
Position Summary
To maintain and build components related to forge furnace operations. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.
Principle Responsibilities
+ Calibrate furnaces using System Accuracy Test (SAT) and update appropriate documentations.
+ Support Gage-Trak updating.
+ Perform daily furnace inspections and communicate with operators and supervisors targeting problem areas.
+ Maintain, install, and upgrade all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and network components.
+ Train furnace and network users and manage network software remote functions.
+ Monitor inventories and build furnaces, controllers, carts, and network hardware.
+ Support forge furnace IQ/OQ-E including Temperature Uniformity Survey (TUS).
+ Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
+ Calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume. And apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
+ Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. And deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
+ Critical thinking ability for problem resolution in a majority of situations.
+ Work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
+ Additional duties as requested by management.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) mandatory.
+ Forklift operator’s license
Experience/Educational/Training Preferred:
+ One to two years’ experience in related field preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
+ Basic Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Pneumatics aptitude.
+ Familiar with AMS (Aerospace Material Specification) 2750
+ Familiar with the use of thermocouples in temperature measurement and PID controllers.
+ Knowledge of welding and fabrication, machining, pneumatics, machine controls and wiring, masonry, computer skills, industrial furnace experience.
