Responsibilities
The Director of Finance oversees all financial activities, policies, and practices for Sacred Heart Medical Group. This role provides strategic financial leadership focused on budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and productivity. The Director partners with operational and clinical leaders to support growth, manage resources, and ensure strong financial performance across the Pensacola market.
+ Serve as the primary financial business partner to Medical Group leadership and executive leadership teams.
+ Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for physician practices and ambulatory services.
+ Provide timely, accurate financial reporting, pro-forma analysis, and performance dashboards.
+ Analyze physician productivity, compensation models, and practice financial performance.
+ Evaluate service-line profitability and recommend strategies to enhance operational and financial outcomes.
+ Partner with revenue cycle teams to improve charge capture, coding accuracy, authorizations, denials management, and collections.
+ Develop tools and models to support business cases for growth initiatives, provider recruitment, capital needs, and new service lines.
+ Ensure compliance with finance policies, healthcare regulations, and accounting standards.
+ Present financial performance and recommendations to executive leadership, practice leaders, and board-level stakeholders.
+ Mentor and lead finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
Requirements
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
+ Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field a plus.
+ Experience leading financial operations for a medical group preferred.
