Parsons is seeking a highly skilled **Cyber Threat Analyst** with subject matter expertise in industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct continuous research on emerging cyber threats, analyze adversary activities, and assess vulnerabilities to prevent and eradicate threats to critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop actionable intelligence and enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform in-depth analysis of emerging threats and adversary tradecraft targeting ICS/SCADA systems.
+ Identify and assess the capabilities and activities of cybercriminals and foreign intelligence entities.
+ Analyze data from diverse sources to extract, enrich, and enhance its value for cybersecurity operations.
+ Develop tailored tradecraft, including fingerprints, signatures, and indicators, to support mission-specific cybersecurity objectives.
+ Collaborate with development teams to articulate requirements and enhancements for tools and capabilities.
+ Create advanced queries, visualizations, and dashboards using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Elastic or Splunk.
+ Conduct network traffic analysis, including packet capture (PCAP) analysis using tools like Wireshark.
+ Write signatures for Zeek and/or Snort to detect anomalous activity.
+ Generate comprehensive threat intelligence reports with findings, mitigations, and confidence assessments.
+ Implement knowledge management best practices and develop automated solutions to support cybersecurity missions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, International Relations, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 7 years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, or insider threat analysis, with a focus on ICS/SCADA systems.
+ **Technical Expertise:**
+ Must have expertise doing data analysis on network capture from ICS/SCADA systems.
+ Deep understanding of ICS/SCADA components, protocols, and architectures.
+ Proficiency in TCP/IP communication protocols and packet flow analysis.
+ Experience with XKS for creating queries, fingerprinting, and identifying atypical events.
+ Familiarity with SIEM tools (Elastic, Splunk, etc.) for creating dashboards and visualizations.
+ Ability to write signatures for Zeek and/or Snort.
+ **Analytical Skills:**
+ Expertise in analyzing network communications and traffic across disparate data sets.
+ Ability to perform advanced queries at scale and integrate diverse data sources (e.g., open-source intelligence, partner data).
+ Experience creating network diagrams and advanced analytics to inform cyber operations.
+ Cybersecurity Mission Knowledge **:**
+ Proven track record of working within cybersecurity mission environments to generate actionable threat intelligence.
+ Ability to independently perform software engineering functions aligned with mission cybersecurity architecture.
+ Experience creating tailored tradecraft and log file analysis to support cybersecurity objectives.
+ **Additional Requirements:**
**Active TS/SCI w/polygraph** security clearance is mandatory.
Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $155,600.00 - $280,100.00
