The Manager, Global Quality Operational Excellence is responsible for championing, implementing, and overseeing **Quality Operational Excellence initiatives** across the Hill’s global Quality, Technology and Supply Chain organizations, with a core focus on **Right First Time (RFT)** principles, preventive measures, predictive analytics, AI and innovative digital and automation solutions. This role drives solutions that support compliance with global quality standards and regulatory requirements and creates value for internal and external customers as well as the organization.
This role will lead efforts to integrate quality excellence initiatives across the Hill’s global Quality, Technology and Supply Chain organizations, partnering with Quality, Safety, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, and Technology teams to drive quality excellence projects. The role includes partnering with the Colgate Quality Excellence team, sharing best practices as well as aligning on Enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and drive the global implementation of Right First Time and continuous improvement projects to enhance quality across the Hill’s Global Quality, Technology and Supply Chain organization
+ Oversee development and implementation of Hill’s Quality Automation, digitization and analytics strategy, including no-touch quality, predictive analytics and plant process control systems
+ Collaborate with Global Technology and Supply Chain Innovation Acceleration team on new technology initiatives, site trials and project implementation
+ Partner with Colgate Quality Excellence, sharing best practices as well as aligning on CP Enterprise initiatives
+ Ensure timely reporting of Quality excellence metrics to senior leadership
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Engineering, Quality Management, Food Science or a related field
+ 8+ year experience in drug/food/pet food quality/manufacturing/regulatory and/or food safety
+ 5+ years of supervisory and managerial experience
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
+ Experience with data analytics and AI platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master Degree (Food Science, Business, Quality Management, Engineering) or related discipline
+ Lean Six Sigma certification (yellow, green or black belt)
+ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; Proven results in a matrixed organization
+ Ability to analyze complex data, generate insights and drive strategic decisions
+ Understanding of plant processing systems and controls
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
