**Pay Range:** $60-$65/hr

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Statement Program that spans Allianz Life’s 3 main product lines. This role is within the Corporate Actuarial department, and will work very closely with other teams that are supporting the delivery of Product initiatives for the Annuity and Life product lines. They will be accountable for timely and accurate deliverables, frequent status reporting at all levels, supporting the Statement Uplift program that is aimed at building out a high-functioning Statement capability.
The ideal candidate brings a problem-solving mindset, thrives in ambiguity, drives alignment, and has a bias for action. Candidates should have proven ability to manage multiple projects, foresee resource and timeline conflicts, improve process, and lead projects without direct authority. The role requires strong communication, creativity, problem solving, strong people skills, and detail orientation.
Additional desired traits include: self-starter, problem solver, self-motivated, and ability and desire to learn new topics /areas on a regular basis. Should enjoy working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Financial services, insurance, or financial consulting experience are desired, but not required.
Essential Job Functions:
• Deliver projects on time, which meet strategic and business requirements.
• Create and maintain the Project Management Plan (PMP) and detailed project schedule;
o Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and tasks. Leverage templates, but adjust as necessary by project.
o Perform project schedule analysis to identify critical path and resource issues; align critical path to product projects.
o Prepare high level estimates (time, resources) as needed, confirming with others who have experience in the affected areas.
o Provide input to the Statement Uplift program on process improvements. Lead retrospectives at the end of each phase.
o Ensure projects are delivered on-time and with exceptional quality.
• Manage the project(s) from initiation through delivery, warranty, if applicable, and closure:
o Conduct project kick-off and ongoing meetings; capture decisions, issues, and action items
o Assign and monitor project team member work; provide support and direction
o Identify risks and issues, assign responsibility and drive risks and issues to resolution
o Assure compliance with company project management policies and standards
o Interface with customers to manage expectations
• Integrate best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress into projects and provide feedback for improvement
Experience & Education: Minimum Requirements:
• 4-5 years of experience required: Four (or more) years of experience managing successful projects. Solid knowledge of PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle. Scrum Master certification strong preferred.
• Must have experience at Allianz Life; references required
