Basic Job Functions:

Safety is an integral part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety proctices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to always make safety a priority. The Melting Utility role requires a working knowledge of the melting process that will include but be limited to scrap and raw materials, furnace and LMF refractories, EAF operations and LMF operations. The selected candiddate will be expected to cross-train and learn all positions in the melting process. The qualified candidate must be will to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop
