Jordan Brand’s Global Marketing team sets the brand tone—delivering world-class storytelling that elevates Jordan Brand innovation, athletes, and culture through brand strategy, narrative voice, and art direction—across a range of digital, social, and retail channels, as well as IRL events and activations.
The Brand Narrative team is the heart and soul of Jordan Brand storytelling. As both a strategic and creative function, it is responsible for the brand’s narrative voice—across sport, streetwear and energy fields of play through all consumer-facing touchpoints.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Jordan Brand’s Narrative Director, Energy leads, drives, and delivers world-class narrative strategy and creative concepts—obsessing storytelling with craft, taste, and scale—specifically for The Brand’s Energy category.
They partner closely with teammates across the creative team and functions of Jordan Brand to develop narrative and craft messaging that’s tailored to specific audiences, platforms and moments. They also manage a team of Energy-focused narrative managers and storytellers, as well as external partners.
A nuanced expertise of basketball culture, and the intersection of sport, streetwear, and energy is a requirement. The ability to work in ambiguity, see the big picture, and collaborate positively with a large group of partners is key. An authentic passion for Jordan Brand and evolving its role in the global cultural landscape is critical.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You’ll work across the Energy category’s seasonal briefs, collaborator launches, and key priorities—driving and delivering world-class narrative strategy, creative concepts, and emotive messaging—across key platforms, media, and retail spaces. You’ll also work x-functionally to integrate Energy into new and existing corners of The Brand, with impact and at scale.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll report to the Senior Creative Director, Narrative Jordan Brand, but day-to-day will partner closely with narrative managers, art directors, designers, producers, and marketers. You’ll also work closely with Brand Voice, Brand Design, and Brand Marketing senior leaders. You’ll also collaborate with external creatives and partners to commission work across platforms.
WHAT YOU BRING
+ Bachelor's Degree in advertising, editorial, content marketing, brand marketing or related creative field. Will accept any suitable combination of education and experience, and training.
+ 10+ years of experience in advertising, editorial, content marketing, brand marketing or related creative field.
+ A passion for Jordan Brand and its role in the global cultural landscape.
+ A portfolio of creative work across advertising, editorial, and branded content—displaying a distinct voice and demonstrating a command of style and tone
+ Obsession with storytelling and craft.
+ Ability to lead strategic development across a team and project.
+ Experience leading creative productions: from pre-production to on-set leadership and post-production.
+ A wealth of experience in the managing of agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver the highest caliber work.
+ Love for problem-solving.
+ Expertise and nuanced understanding of Jordan Brand and its role in the cultural landscape
+ Deep understanding of navigating the creative process from concept through development and production
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Understanding of writing within a brand organization, and how to translate business priorities into highly engaging consumer-facing narratives and messaging
+ An upbeat, positive, and collaborative working style
+ Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
+ Dedication to respect, inclusivity, and valuing different perspectives
+ Ability to navigate and thrive within ambiguity
