    Job Title: Construction Audit Specialist - COI Compliance Support

    Job Description

    The Construction Audit Specialist will support the COI Compliance team in executing a four-week sprint focused on assessing project controls governance and documentation across select U.S. datacenter construction projects. This role involves auditing construction documentation, facilitating workshops and interviews, and compiling compliance findings.

     

    *This is a 4 Week Assignment*

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze construction project documentation, including contracts, pay applications, change orders, expense transactions, and supporting records for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established procedures.

    + Perform assessments of project-level construction controls reporting and compliance.

    + Use professional construction audit experience to create risk-based samples for testing and draft document requests.

    + Participate in interviews and workshops with project stakeholders to gather process insights and share perspectives on industry practices and regulatory expectations.

    + Collaborate in developing deliverables and provide feedback on leading construction industry practices.

    + Develop workplans and testing templates in coordination with the compliance team.

    + Compile testing results in a structured workbook and assist with drafting summary reports of observations.

    + Ensure all activities comply with AICPA Standards for Consulting Services and handle confidential and personal data in accordance with project and regulatory guidelines.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in construction auditing, project controls, or compliance assessment.

    + Strong understanding of construction documentation, financial transactions, and regulatory requirements.

    + Experience with data analysis, risk assessment, and reporting in a construction environment.

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and audit documentation tools.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.

    + Attention to detail and analytical thinking.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in workshops and interviews.

    + Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory expectations for construction projects.

    + Experience with cloud operations or datacenter environments is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This role is 100% remote, based in the U.S., with no preference for time zones. The daily schedule is approximately 40 hours per week.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $49.00 - $59.00/hr.
