    Job Description

    The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the production of therapeutic proteins (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) conditions. This role involves executing process recipes, adhering to written procedures, and maintaining equipment and facility hygiene. Technicians are expected to develop a fundamental understanding of cGMP compliance, demonstrating proper aseptic techniques while handling products and materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment and processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.

    + Document production activities both in written and electronic forms, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Procedures (GDPs).

    + Review documentation as necessary.

    + Attain qualifications for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan.

    + Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as monitoring pH and conductivity, and testing product samples.

    + Conduct material movements, transferring raw materials and chemicals within the production areas.

    + Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, and support 6S programs.

    + Engage in administrative tasks, including attending shift exchanges, meetings, managing emails, and participating in projects.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

    + Preferred area of study: Science-related discipline.

    + 0-3 years of experience, with prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Basic understanding of laboratory procedures.

    + Familiarity with cGMP compliance and aseptic techniques.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is within a large, well-known company. Employees will be engaged in hands-on production and laboratory tasks, requiring adherence to strict safety and cleanliness standards to maintain facility and equipment integrity. Dress code and safety equipment may be required based on the work area.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.
