    Job Title: AI Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a talented AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning models that enhance our products and support systems. This role encompasses all phases of the AI project lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, validation, optimization, deployment, and maintenance. The position demands strong programming and analytical skills, a robust understanding of AI frameworks, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

    Responsibilities

    + Implement small AI features and resolve basic model or pipeline bugs.

    + Develop components of larger ML or AI systems.

    + Prepare and clean datasets for training and testing.

    + Evaluate model accuracy and reliability using standard metrics.

    + Write automated tests and scripts for AI pipelines.

    + Document AI workflows and experiments.

    + Integrate AI modules with other software components.

    + Participate in code reviews and sprint meetings.

    + Follow engineering standards, ethical AI principles, and company procedures.

    + Design and train machine learning models independently.

    + Research and implement new algorithms to improve system performance.

    + Develop inference APIs and services for AI model deployment.

    + Build and maintain data and model pipelines for continuous integration.

    + Collaborate with software, data, and product teams to embed AI into products.

    + Demonstrate completed AI work to stakeholders through sprint demos.

    + Monitor model performance and retrain as necessary.

    + Contribute to design and code reviews.

    + Keep up to date with developments in AI, ML, and related technologies.

    + Implement CI/CD pipelines for model training and deployment.

    + Use tools like MLflow for model versioning and monitoring.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in Python, SQL, and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

    + Experience with ONNX, Airflow, and experiment tracking tools like MLflow.

    + Understanding of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP for model deployment.

    + Strong grasp of computer systems, programming, and AI model development.

    + Experience in fine-tuning or deploying LLMs using frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers or OpenAI APIs.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    + 2+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or a related field.

    + 2+ years of experience in developing and deploying ML models.

    + Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

    + Exposure to basic CI/CD concepts for ML workflows.

    Work Environment

    This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be part of a small company making a significant impact by providing technology for individuals who are unable to speak.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Wooster, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
