    The Engineering Manager will lead U.S. and international engineering teams in designing and developing adventure courses and products. This role combines engineering leadership experience with technical expertise to guide projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company objectives. The Engineering Manager will mentor engineers, foster innovation, and drive efficient collaboration across global teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to achieve individual and departmental goals.

    + Oversee the design and engineering of adventure courses and products from concept to completion.

    + Review and approve detailed shop drawings, weldment prints, and 3D models.

    + Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

    + Collaborate with production, manufacturing, and installation teams to optimize manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.

    + Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet company objectives.

    + Conduct and oversee structural analysis, calculations, and validation of designs.

    + Implement and maintain best practices in design documentation, revision control, and engineering processes.

    + Drive continuous improvement in design methods, tools, and team performance.

    + Serve as a key liaison between engineering and other departments, as well as with clients when technical expertise is required.

    + Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and safety standards relevant to engineering and adventure attractions.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

    + 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Design and Engineering.

    + 5+ years of experience managing engineering departments and supervising engineering teams.

    + Proficient in Inventor 2D and 3D modeling.

    + Project management experience with proven success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

    + Strong knowledge in fabrication, welding, and materials.

    + Ability to travel overseas to support clients and projects.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Professional Engineer License.

    + Autodesk Robot experience.

    + Familiarity with ASTM standards (American Society for Testing and Materials).

    Work Environment

    The Engineering Manager will report to the founder and president, initially leading a local team of 4 engineers and 1 drafter, with plans to expand the U.S. team. The role also involves leading engineers in Malaysia. International travel and flexibility for cross-time-zone collaboration are required.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allegan, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $72.12/hr.
