Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for accurately picking and compiling parts based on system-generated pick lists. You will label, kit, and package components following customer and internal specifications. Your role involves performing visual inspections to detect product defects and ensure quality compliance. You will operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners, maintain a clean and organized work area, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Read, understand, and follow work instructions pertaining to picking and kitting tasks.
+ Pick and prepare parts efficiently to meet internal incremental deadlines.
+ Complete applicable paperwork or QMS updates accurately.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment while complying with all safety standards.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with workplace safety regulations.
+ Other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical assembly, production, general labor, and electrical skills.
+ Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
+ Good visual acuity and ability to determine defects after training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is a plus.
+ Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including Excel and Word.
+ Familiarity with SAP or other warehouse management systems is advantageous.
+ Basic math skills and accurate counting abilities.
+ Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks and use own initiative.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse environment. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform routine assignments of a repetitive nature. Work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of La Vergne, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
