We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the full lifecycle of our Electronic Records Management (ERM) initiatives, built on the OpenText Documentum platform. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing complex projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
The Senior Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, ensuring all ERM solutions align with business objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Project & Program Management:
+ Full Lifecycle Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale ERM and Documentum-based projects, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
+ Scope & Schedule: Develop and manage detailed project plans, scope statements, work breakdown structures, and timelines.
+ Budget & Resource: Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
+ Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans as needed.
+ Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including executive leadership, business unit heads, IT teams, and compliance officers. Provide regular, clear, and concise status updates.
+ ERM & Documentum Specific:
+ Solution Oversight: Act as the subject matter expert for the OpenText Documentum platform (including Content Server, D2, xCP, etc.) in all project-related matters.
+ Compliance & Governance: Ensure all project solutions adhere to corporate information governance policies, retention schedules, and legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., NARA, DoD 5015.2, GDPR, HIPAA, as applicable).
+ Requirements & Design: Lead technical and business analysts in gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications for ERM workflows, security models, content taxonomies, and lifecycle management.
+ Data Migration: Oversee the planning and execution of complex content migrations into the Documentum repository, ensuring data integrity, chain of custody, and minimal business disruption.
+ Change Management: Develop and implement a robust change management and user adoption plan, including training, communications, and post-go-live support.
Qualifications
+ Experience:
+ Project Management: 10+ years of experience in technical project management, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role managing complex, enterprise-wide software implementations.
+ Documentum: 5+ years of hands-on project management experience with the OpenText Documentum platform.
+ ERM: Proven experience managing electronic records management, document management, or content management projects.
+ Technical & Domain Knowledge:
+ Platform: Deep understanding of the Documentum ecosystem (Content Server, D2, xCP, Webtop, DQL).
+ Methodology: Expert-level knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) project management methodologies.
+ Records Management: Strong understanding of core ERM principles, including content lifecycle management, retention policies, legal holds, and disposition.
+ Compliance: Familiarity with federal and international records management standards and regulations is highly preferred.
+ Certifications & Education:
+ Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
+ Required: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification (e.g., PRINCE2).
+ Preferred: Agile (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) or OpenText Documentum certifications are a significant plus.
+ Soft Skills:
+ Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
+ Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Must be a US citizen and/or green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
+ Prior FDA experience is huge plus.
