Job Description
We are looking for a **Senior Systems Engineer** to design, install, and monitor virtual and physical servers, storage area networks, cloud environments, and software for the Client's IT infrastructure. This position will be **full-time** **contract** and **hybrid in Chicago, IL.**
What You’ll Do
+ Design, implement, manage, and provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for multiple datacenter technologies, primarily Azure IaaS, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Windows Servers
+ Design, implement, manage, and provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Office 365 suite including Azure AD, Exchange Online, Conditional Access policies, and MFA/SSPR registration policies
+ Provide Level 2 and Level 3 administration of infrastructure, including hardware installations, server software deployments, and system updates
+ Maintain a High Availability environment and backup and disaster recovery solution of 99.9%
+ Work collaboratively with technology and business teams on all aspects of IT infrastructure
+ Take ownership of and lead projects from start to finish, including design, rollout, and testing
What You'll Need
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to four years in system administration
+ Eight years of progressive IT system administration experience, including at least five years in Levels 2 and 3 support of server technologies
+ Experience managing Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware vSphere infrastructure, Azure IaaS, and backup/recovery
Preferred:
+ Microsoft MCSE Core Infrastructure and/or Azure Administration certification
+ VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
+ Cisco CCNA certification is helpful
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
