    The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting purchasing operations by managing the procurement of goods and services. This includes reviewing purchase requisitions, identifying suppliers, soliciting bids, negotiating terms, and generating purchase orders. The role also involves monitoring order status, resolving supplier issues, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The Procurement Specialist works closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement.

    Responsibilities

    + Review purchase requisitions and identify appropriate suppliers.

    + Solicit bids and negotiate pricing and terms to maximize value.

    + Generate and manage purchase orders in compliance with company policies.

    + Monitor order status and address supplier issues as needed.

    + Evaluate supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships.

    + Collaborate with internal departments to support procurement needs.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong ability to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate effectively.

    + Knowledge of procurement processes and policy compliance.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

    + 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.

    + Experience with procurement software or ERP systems preferred.

    + Familiarity with contract management and supply chain logistics is a plus.

    + Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a bonus.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in a collaborative office setting focused on continuous improvement and professional development. The team values strategic thinking, process optimization, and strong supplier relationships. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.     This is a Contract position based out of Reno, NV.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
