Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities

+ Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs.

+ Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.

+ Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

+ Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

+ Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.

+ Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.

+ Orders studies, test and ancillary services.

+ Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with regulatory standards.

+ Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues.

+ Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients.

+ May refer patients to specialized health resources for treatment.

+ Orders appropriate diagnostic screening tests according to protocol.

_The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as_ **_HIRING RANGE:_**

_Assistant Professor: $181,220-$195,345_

_Associate Professor: $217,345-$236,140_

_Professor: $285,475-$310,563_

_There is an additional opportunity for a clinical productivity bonus._

_The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt._

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Nephrology has an opening for a 1.0 FTE/0.9 cFTE open rank faculty member to provide inpatient and outpatient services in support of our clinical programs at the Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs and Anschutz campuses. This position will include opportunities for involvement in the administrative, research, and educational aspects of our program. :

- this role is expected to work at our Colorado Springs campus as well as our Anschutz campus in Aurora, CO.
